Flag of Ulsan Metropolitan City, South Korea, on a white field with a centered stylized emblem above gray Korean text.
The flag of Ulsan Metropolitan City uses a white field to symbolize peace and purity. Its central emblem combines a blue wave representing the East Sea and Ulsan’s shipbuilding and maritime heritage, a green hill symbolizing surrounding mountains and ecological balance, and a red gear-like element denoting heavy industry and automotive production, edged with a thin gold line for prosperity. The design was adopted in 1995 when Ulsan became a special city and was retained after its elevation to metropolitan city status in 1997.
