The flag of Phrae is vertically divided green and red with a large circular provincial seal centered across the divide, featuring a white elephant beneath a golden crown on a blue field with Thai text on a scroll below.
Phrae is a province in northern Thailand. Its provincial flag uses the official seal at the center as a symbol of the province. The seal depicts a white elephant wearing a golden crown standing on a green hill beside a blue wavy band representing the Yom River. The imagery reflects historic ties to the former Lanna kingdom, while the elephant signifies strength and royalty, the hill represents fertile agricultural land, and the river symbolizes life-giving water. The design was formalized in the early 2000s as part of a broader effort to give Thailand’s provinces distinct banners.
