History
The flag of Krasnodar Krai was designed by N. P. Ishchenko and adopted on 24 March 1995, entering into force on 5 May 1995. Its three unequal horizontal stripes reflect the historic Kuban Cossack tricolour. The centered coat of arms was later adjusted in 2004 for heraldic conformity, and the design combines regional Cossack heritage with imperial-era symbolism.
