History
The emblem represents Kanchanaburi province through three white Buddhist stupas on a stylized green mountain associated with Bantadthong Mountain and the historic Three Pagodas Pass. The three stupas refer to the province’s long Buddhist and Khmer heritage. Provincial flags of this type were adopted in the early 2000s as part of a program giving Thailand’s provinces distinctive flags.
