History
Brașov’s municipal flag was approved by the city council on 1 December 2001. The city coat of arms was readopted in 1996, while its basic design dates to the 14th century. The heraldic composition includes an azure shield with a golden coronet and silver roots, surmounted by a seven-towered mural crown that denotes municipal status.
