History
The flag of Bosnian Podrinje Canton uses the canton’s coat of arms on the flag field. The emblem’s wavy band represents the Drina River, the green hills in the coat of arms symbolize the canton’s mountainous landscape, and the fleur-de-lis recalls historic Bosnian heraldry. The design was officially adopted in 2008 following a contest for new cantonal symbols in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
