History
The flag of Anenii Noi District was adopted on 24 February 2005. It has a 2:3 proportion. The red field signifies bravery and historical ties of the region, the wavy yellow element represents local waterways including the nearby Dniester River, and the white lion with a white saber symbolizes courage, strength, and readiness to defend the district’s heritage. Its design reflects motifs used in the district’s coat of arms adopted at the same time.
