Province of Central Java

The provincial flag of Central Java was adopted on 5 April 2015. It uses a solid field with the province’s coat of arms at the center. The red background is described as representing courage, sacrifice, and the historic blood of the Javanese people, while the golden emblem draws on the provincial arms and includes a stylized kris and rice stalks symbolizing martial heritage, cultural richness, and agricultural prosperity.
