Mn flag zavkhan aimag

The flag of Zavkhan Aimag uses light blue, a traditional Mongolian color associated with the eternal sky, loyalty, and freedom. Its emblem features a rearing horse as a major cultural and economic symbol of the province, set against stylized mountains representing Zavkhan’s rugged terrain, with a Soyombo above as a sign of freedom, Buddhism, and Mongolian heritage. The design was adopted in the early 2000s during the post-1990 development of distinct flags for Mongolia’s aimags.
