The red hoist triangle was replaced by a trapezoid bearing two seven-pointed white stars.
Vertical republican flag adopted
The kingdom design was replaced by a vertical black-white-green flag with a red eight-pointed star and yellow center.
Horizontal three-star flag adopted
Iraq adopted a red-white-black horizontal tricolour with three green stars on the white band.
Takbir added between starsThis flag
A green “Allahu Akbar” inscription was added between the three stars.
