Ayeyarwady Region

Ayeyarwady Region has used three main flag designs since 1974. The 1974–2010 flag showed a stylized orange outline of the delta within a white rectangle on alternating white and blue wave bands, with Burmese text naming Ayeyarwady Division. From 2010 to 2022, the flag was simplified to the regional seal on a white field. Since 2022, the current design has displayed the same seal on a blue field; the blue represents the river and sky, while the map form and agricultural motifs reflect the fertile Ayeyarwady delta and its rice-growing economy.
