History
The flag of Valgamaa represents Valga County in southern Estonia. It uses a plain white field with the county coat of arms centered on it. The coat of arms includes a red lion with a sword, a blue-and-white wavy base symbolizing the county’s rivers, and a gold crown representing historic sovereignty. The design was adopted in the early 1990s after Estonia restored its independence.
