History
This flag represents South Sumatra. A historical flag associated with South Sumatra was adopted in 1949 for the State of South Sumatra and used until its integration into the Republic of Indonesia in 1950; that earlier design was a yellow-over-green horizontal bicolor in a 2:3 proportion.
