Palestine (Munir Dakak proposal, alt 2)

This is the second of three 1929 flag proposals for Palestine by Munir Dakak from Jerusalem. It presents the classic three horizontal stripes (black, green, white) with a red triangular hoist. Within the triangle, there’s a stylized orange illustration—an homage to the renowned Jaffa orange—which underscores Palestinian agricultural heritage and deep connection to the land. The combination links Pan-Arab symbolism to a distinct regional identity in the British Mandate period.
