History
The flag of Nakhon Pathom displays the province’s seal on a blue field. The seal depicts Phra Pathommachedi, the great stupa associated with the province’s identity, topped with a royal crown that refers to King Mongkut’s reconstruction of the ancient monument in 1860. The blue background traditionally symbolizes loyalty to the Thai monarchy and aspirations for peace and prosperity.
