Flag of the municipality of Twisk (1961-1979) The flag of Twisk was adopted on October 27, 1961, as the municipal flag of the North Holland municipality of Twisk . The flag can be described as follows: Blue, with three vertical stripes of 1/12 of the flag length, evenly distributed. The colors of the flag are derived from the municipal coat of arms. The stripes represent the stubble in the coat of arms. The municipal banner remained in use until January 1, 1979, on which day the municipality merged into the municipality of Noorder-Koggenland . Since 2007, the area has been under the administration of Medemblik.
