The City flag is two horizontal stripes, equal in width, gold on top and green on the bottom. The canton is charged with the Coat of Arms of the City. The original bright yellow and green flag was adopted April 10, 1984. This version of the flag became obsolete with the registration of the heraldic emblems in 2005. On February 15, 2005, the City’s gold and green flag was registered under the Canadian Heraldic Authority, Vol. IV, p. 448, by the Governor General of Canada.
